Visual Multiples. IX. MK Spectral Types
In this third of three parts of MK classifications of the componentsbrighter than about B=8 mag in Aitken's Catalogue, new classificationsare given for 546 stars. Included in this section are 15 Ap stars, 33 Amstars, 18 stars with composite spectra, three stars with shell spectra, and two SB2s.

CCD astrometry and components instrumental magnitude difference of 432 Hipparcos wide visual double stars
Context: We measured the angular separations, position angles, ΔV, Δ y and Δ I of wide visual double stars during the period2003-2005. At least one component of the double stars in our sample hasan entry in the Hipparcos catalogue. Aims: Our measurements are acontribution to the study of the nature of these double stars. Methods: The northern double stars of the project were observed with the1.2 m telescope of the Kryonerion observatory and the southern with the1.0 m SAAO. We performed multiple-exposure CCD imaging of our targetsand used the standard procedure of data reduction and astrometric CCDcalibrations. Results: We present measurements of 213 northern and 219southern wide binaries.Based on observations made at Kryonerion Observatory of the NationalObservatory of Athens, Greece, and the South African AstronomicalObservatory. Full Table 1 and Tables 2, 3 are only available inelectronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr(130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcat?J/A+A/472/1055

UBV absolute CCD photometry and differential astrometry of a sample of visual double stars with A-type primaries
We present V magnitudes, (B-V) and (U-B) colours of the components of111 visual double stars and their relative position measurements rho andtheta . The primaries are of spectral class A; the angular separation isin the 2farcs5 -8arcsec range. The observations were made at the 61-cmreflector of University of Toronto Southern Observatory, Chile. Theobtained photometric results are of a moderate quality for absolutevalues (0.04() m (mag) in V and about 0.02() m in the (B-V) and (U-B)colour indices) and more precise in Delta V and Delta (U-B), Delta (B-V)(0.023() m and 0.015() m, respectively). We find that about 60% ofsecondaries are also of spectral type A; 56% of pairs have Delta (B-V)less than 0.1() m. The two-colour diagram reveals significant offset ofobjects from the curve of unreddened Main Sequence stars. Acomprehensive survey of stars in the close vicinity to the objects isalso presented. The final astrometric accuracy of ~ 0farcs01 in rho and0fdg1 in theta provides additional measurements for study of relativemotion of the components. Based on observations made at University ofToronto Southern Observatory, Las Campanas, Chile. Tables\arabic{tabptm}--\arabic{tabast} are only available in electronic format the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) orvia http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/Abstract.html

Photographic observations of visual double stars
Results are presented of photographic observations of 186 pairs ofvisual double stars, carried out with the 60-cm visual refractor of theBosscha Observatory at Lembang (Java) between 1984 and 1986. Theprocedures used in observations, measurements, and reducing wereidentical to those described by van Albada-van Dien (1983).

Photographic observations of visual double stars
Mean positions, the corresponding epochs, relative separations, positionangles, and mean errors are presented for 95 pairs of visual doublestars, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere. The results were obtained bymeasuring plates taken with the 60-cm visual refractor of BosschaObservatory, Lembang, Indonesia, over a 16-yr period. The reductionmethod used in determining the mean positions, epochs, and errors isdiscussed.
