CCD astrometry and components instrumental magnitude difference of 432 Hipparcos wide visual double stars
Context: We measured the angular separations, position angles, ΔV, Δ y and Δ I of wide visual double stars during the period2003-2005. At least one component of the double stars in our sample hasan entry in the Hipparcos catalogue. Aims: Our measurements are acontribution to the study of the nature of these double stars. Methods: The northern double stars of the project were observed with the1.2 m telescope of the Kryonerion observatory and the southern with the1.0 m SAAO. We performed multiple-exposure CCD imaging of our targetsand used the standard procedure of data reduction and astrometric CCDcalibrations. Results: We present measurements of 213 northern and 219southern wide binaries.Based on observations made at Kryonerion Observatory of the NationalObservatory of Athens, Greece, and the South African AstronomicalObservatory. | VRI photometry of wide double stars with A- type primaries.
We are presenting VRI photometry of 93 wide visual double stars havinglate B- or A- type primaries, taken from the Annex of Double andMultiple Stars of the HIPPARCOS Input Catalogue. Spectral types havebeen estimated for most of the primaries and for the majority of thesecondaries. 40% of them probably have common origin components, forwhich we calculated photometric parallaxes and some orbital valuesestimates.

We present accurate relative positions and instrumental visual (BesselV) magnitude differences of southern wide star components. The meanaccuracy of the angular separation is 0.02 arcsecs, which corresponds to1.5 micron on the CCD chip, and of magnitude difference 0.007mag/exposure. The program pairs are targets of the HIPPARCOS mission andthey have been observed at least four times in the last 150 yrs.
| A homogeneous catalog of new UBV and H-beta photometry of B- and A-type stars in and around the Scorpius-Centaurus OB association
B- and A-type stars in and near the Sco-Cen OB association areinvestigated with UBV and H-beta photometry to acquire data relevant tothe luminosity function of Sco-Cen. The measurements generally consistof two 10-s integrations of U, B, V, (W, N) filters, and theobservations are corrected iteratively for atmospheric extinction andinstrumental response. The data presented give the mean V magnitude,mean B-V, mean U-B, and the estimated uncertainties for these values.The catalog provides a homogeneous catalog of data for a large fieldwith stellar objects delineating membership to the association Sco-Cenand that affect the luminosity function of the aggregate.
| A photometric study of wide visual double stars with significant relative proper motion
Photometric observations and uvby H-beta indices of 142 wide visualdouble stars are presented. Calibrations of the indices are used toderive MK class, color excess, absolute magnitude, effectivetemperature, and distance. The results are used to check candidatesdouble stars for the Hipparcos mission for opticity.
